The new Durango Recreation Center, within walking distance from the Siesta Motel, provides a wonderful indoor swimming and play facility plus complete gym and workout facilities and is open to all visitors.

For railroad enthusiasts, the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad and Museum is just over 2 miles from the Siesta Motel.

Rafting, kayacking, fishing of all sorts are all great ways to spend time on the Animas River, just down the way from the Siesta Motel. There’s just so much to do!

Durango – La Plata County Airport (airport code DRO) offers daily commercial service from American Airlines and United Airlines and is a short 12 miles away for travelers planning to visit by air.
